The court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan on Friday is considering the lawyers’ appeal on the decisions of the Special Investigation Service and the Prosecutor General's Office to deny the initiation of a criminal case against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia.

To note, on November 10, 2020, the day of handing over several regions of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Azerbaijan, Pashinyan had stated, during a live Facebook broadcast, as follows in particular: "I call on all the citizens who grasp what is happening to prepare for revenge, to prepare for revenge! These corrupt oligarch swindlers… Yes, we did not do the right thing regarding those who robbed this country, those who stole the soldier’s food, those who stole the soldier's weapon, those who stole the citizen's dignity; I apologize for that. I call on all the citizens who understand what it’s all about to prepare for revenge because, yes, we will take revenge on them for our soldiers, we will take revenge on them for our lost homeland."

The lawyers who submitted the report are convinced that the PM's statement contains the features of the Criminal Code article on threat of murder, grievous bodily harm, or destruction of property.
