Classes are being boycotted Monday in High School No.1 of Abovyan, Armenia.

The students and staff of the school express their protest in this way to the newly appointed principal, who was appointed to this position a few days ago by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

Upon arrival at the school, the newly appointed principal told the assembled teachers that she would not relinquish her rights, and then she left for her office.

Police officers are also at the school.

Last month, the staff and students of this school had gathered in front of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports building, and demanded that the minister not appoint her as their school principal.

According to the rumors, the newly appointed principal is from the circle of Romanos Petrosyan, the former governor of Kotayk Province and the current Minister of Environment.
