YEREVAN. – Today we discussed our next courses of action in the police sector reforms; Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a consultation on Monday.

"We have said many times that the reforms of the judicial system are one of our most important tasks this year. In this context, police sector reforms are also extremely important. The process of forming the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the near future is on our agenda.

At the same time, we have also started—and this year we shall already tangibly start—the establishment of the Patrol Police in the Republic of Armenia; the process has already begun. Today we shall discuss what urgent things need to be done in this context, so that the program, which has been slightly delayed due to the [recent Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)] war, will not be delayed more, and this year we will be able to implement this program," Pashinyan said.
