YEREVAN. – In fact, we saw that the policy of handing over lands and the country, sadly, continues. Mikayel Melkumyan, a member of the opposition Prosperous Armenia faction in the National Assembly (NA), stated this Friday during the traditional briefings of the NA, commenting on the information circulating on social media in recent days about a document on the borders of Syunik Province.

The MP noted that during their recent visit to Syunik, they had already seen the Azerbaijani flag on the Goris-Chakaten motorway, and that this fact had already been recorded. The MP assumed that this was a result of an agreement reached earlier.

"And if it was not done by agreement, then it turns out that the Azerbaijanis can go anywhere in Armenia. I just want to say that the policy of [Armenian] capitulation [in the recent Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war] continues. I want to say that if the [Armenian] government has carried out a capitulation and continues to do so, then the opposition must urgently carry out mobilization; that is, the entire [Armenian] people must very quickly become opposition to this government, as we do not know how much we have left from the territory of the once Soviet Armenia, which was 29.8 thousand square kilometers," Melkumyan stressed.
