The third President of Armenia made many mutually exclusive claims that sparked more questions than gave answers. This is what leader of the My Step faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Lilit Makunts told reporters in parliament today.

“The statements that he emphasized during the interview were in no way reflected in his and his team’s public policy and statements, for instance, during the election campaign in 2017 or even during the snap elections held in 2018. Moreover, if we step out of the political field, any other discourse in the political field has been labeled as extreme. The main question is what the president and his team are after now and why the president is giving this interview at a time when it is no longer necessary,” Makunts said and refused to touch upon certain parts of the interview.
