YEREVAN. – Russia is actively participating in the reshaping of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia; Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin told this to reporters on Tuesday.

He added that intensive contacts were in progress in various directions between the Ministries of Defense of Armenia and Russia.

According to him, they are discussing the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and their armed forces in various directions.

"As for the number of servicemen of the Russian military base in Armenia, I have no privilege to provide information in that regard; it is done by people who are directly responsible for it," the ambassador added.
