Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian received Tuesday the newly appointed ambassador of Sri Lanka Migahaland Lamawansa (residence in Moscow). The latter presented the FM copies of his credentials.

The FM, in turn, congratulated Lamawansa on taking office, expressing confidence that he would contribute to further strengthening and deepening relations between Armenia and Sri Lanka.

The parties expressed their readiness to make every effort to fully realize the existing potential in areas of mutual interest.

The interlocutors noted the importance of strengthening cooperation on international platforms.

During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on topical regional and international issues.
