The shortcomings of the UNICEF representative to Armenia Marianne Clark-Hattingh in the implementation of her mandate and the non-cooperative style of work were problematic for the Armenian side. Anna Naghdalyan, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am on Tuesday.
"Therefore, the government of the Republic of Armenia has made a decision to terminate Clark-Hattingh’s tenure as UNICEF representative to the Republic of Armenia," Naghdalyan said also, adding that the UN Resident Coordinator and the UNICEF representatives had been informed of this decision.
There were reports Monday that Marianne Clark-Hattingh, the Head of UNICEF Armenia Country Office, had spied in favor of Azerbaijan and UK.
