Currently, the situation on Marshal Baghramyan Avenue and Derenik Demirchyan Street—where the two entrances of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia are located—is calm.

The protesters have closed off the two entrances since Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday, the demonstrators pitched tents at the NA entrance from Derenik Demirchyan Street.

Police with helmets and shields have formed a human wall on Derenik Demirchyan Street.

For about ten days now, members of the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement have blocked Marshal Baghramyan Avenue—across the NA building, demanding PM Nikol Pashinyan's resignation. Also, they have pitched tents there.

And during Tuesday’s rally on Marshal Baghramyan Avenue, ex-PM Vazgen Manukyan, the Homeland Salvation Movement’s candidate for the post of PM, called on those present to close off all the entrances to the parliament so that the MPs could neither enter nor leave the building.

After these remarks, those in attendance moved toward the entrances of the National Assembly, and the police could not stop them.
