Forget it, there won’t be elections, he is using this as bait to weaken his opponents. This is what Vazgen Manukyan, candidate of the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement for Prime Minister of Armenia, told reporters before the opposition’s rally on Marshal Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan.

Asked if he expected the army to bring troops to the streets and make Nikol Pashinyan resign and whether that wouldn’t be viewed as venturesome, Manukyan said the following: “I wasn’t expecting that from the army, but if it was up to me, I would expect that from me. I wouldn’t let Pashinyan be Prime Minister, especially if I was the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, but that would truly be venturesome. I thought this should have been done during the war. If I was the chief of the army, I would detain Nikol Pashinyan.”
