YEREVAN. - Contact with two contract servicemen was lost Sunday, in the conditions of a severe snowstorm, and while they were heading from one outpost to another outpost of a military unit. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia noted this in a statement.

It added that the incessant snowstorm hinders the search and rescue operations that started Sunday.

All the necessary measures are taken to find these soldiers.

Earlier, the Telegram channel had Mediaport reported that at 3pm on Sunday, two soldiers had gone missing from the military unit of Jermuk town. According to the source, these servicemen are Karen Shahnazaryan and Aghasi Hovhannisyan, who were from a military unit in the Karvachar (Kelbajar) region of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), but were currently serving in the Jermuk military unit.
