The recent meeting of the 46th Session of the UN Human Rights Council broadcast a special video message by the Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, that the Azerbaijani armed forces had pursued a policy of ethnic Armenian cleansing and genocide during the September-November 2020 war.

It was mentioned in the video message that there is a policy of Armenophobia in Azerbaijan, which is carried out with the assistance of the Azerbaijani authorities and encouraged by Azerbaijani public figures, and all this is based on objective evidence.

The video stresses that since September 27 of last year, the monitoring of both Azerbaijani and Turkish media and social media has recorded mass hatred and calls for killing, violence and torture, and these calls target Armenian children, too.

Ethnically-motivated crimes against Armenians are encouraged by the Azerbaijani authorities, and this is confirmed by the decisions of the ECHR.
