The Armenian authorities want to make amendments to the Law on Higher Education and Science in order to appoint puppet rectors of universities. This is what independent MP Taguhi Tovmasyan said during today’s discussion on the package of bills on higher education and science and on making amendments to the 22 related laws held in parliament today.

In her turn, deputy of the opposition Prosperous Armenia faction Shake Isayan said the authorities want to ensure majority within the councils of state universities in order to appoint rectors who will submit to them.
