During today’s question-and-answer session with government officials in parliament, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan declared that constitutional reforms are still on the Armenian authorities’ agenda and added that the need to discuss the specific content of and criteria for those reforms and reach a certain agreement is a different story.

During his rally held on March 1, Pashinyan, in essence, proposed to make the transition to semi-presidential governance which he had referred to as “irresponsible and failed” in 2020. He also declared that Armenia will hold a referendum on the new Constitution or recommend amendments to the Constitution in October of this year.
