YEREVAN. – In terms of the share of critical developments, Armenia lost to Azerbaijan 10 to 1 by conventional points. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday stated this at the National Assembly of Armenia while presenting the report on the implementation and results of the government program for 2020, noting that the aforesaid was noted in an analysis made in 2017, which was funded by the Armenian government at the time.

"This calculation does not take into account the electricity system, transport, and armaments. If they were included, that ratio would have been 20 to 1," he added.

Pashinyan again quoted from that analysis, noting: "The military-industry system in Armenia began to take shape only since April 2016; eleven years behind Azerbaijan.

The sphere of information technology in structural terms was formed in Armenia at the ministerial level only in 2016; twelve years behind Azerbaijan. The sphere of high technology, unlike the ministerial level of Azerbaijan, was not yet formed in 2017, whereas in Azerbaijan a ministry was formed in that sphere thirteen years ago. In 2017, Azerbaijan had three satellites in orbit around the country, one of which was intelligence—which it had bought. Yes, Azerbaijan was buying a reconnaissance satellite, whereas the Armenian authorities [at the time] were buying land in the Greek islands.

It should be noted that, yes, they have lost the issue of institutional establishment of the state, turning the state into a mafia structure that wastes the living resources of the Republic of Armenia.

Those structures still have their ‘tentacles’ everywhere—from the judiciary to, unfortunately, we have seen its concrete phenomena in the armed forces," Pashinyan stated.

He emphasized that the incumbent Armenian authorities had fought against this 20-year treachery, 20-year capitulation. "But during the [recent Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)] war itself, they [the former authorities] defended their defeat by shouting at us ‘traitor’ as loudly as possible, to cover up their treachery. Shouting at us ‘capitulator’ as loudly as possible, to divert attention from their capitulation. You are the capitulator, especially the traitor. I say [this] to the elite who have plundered, ruled Armenia for 20 years. Whereas we, every day, sometimes fought to the death against your capitulation and treachery. I want to announce from this high tribune that we will continue our fight for a free, strong, and happy Armenia," PM Pashinyan stated.
