To be honest, it’s very hard for me to state the number of victims, but I understand that the people need to receive information. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated while presenting the report on the course and results of implementation of the government’s 2020 Action Plan in parliament today.

“I can state that, as of today, there are 3,621 identified victims with confirmed death certificates, and there are 321 missing servicemen. At the same time, we have 201 bodies or remains that are undergoing DNA examinations. There are over 100 identified bodies that have been identified with the relatives, but for some reason, the relatives refuse to acknowledge this, and this is understandable. Many citizens believe their relatives are alive or captured. There are families who don’t trust the results of the DNA tests and organize DNA tests abroad on their own,” Pashinyan said, adding the following:

“If the statistics don’t change, and they will rarely change, there will be about 4,000 victims, plus or minus 50. I apologize for saying plus or minus,” the Prime Minister said and asked everyone to stand up and respect the memory of all the victims.
