Former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Onik Gasparyan personally informed me about his talk with third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said in response to a question from leader of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and homonymous faction Edmon Marukyan in parliament today.

The Prime Minister insisted that he knows what they literally talked about and what Serzh Sargsyan said.

“I know that in 2020 and on December 19 Gasparyan asked Serzh Sargsyan about a reward. I know Gasparyan had met with Serzh Sargsyan before the coup attempt in Armenia. Gasparyan met with President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian after that meeting,” Pashinyan said and refuted Gasparyan’s statement that he had allegedly addressed the Prime Minister during the war and offered to stop the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Pashinyan stated that, if necessary, he will disclose a part of the conversation he had with Gasparyan on September 30, 2020.
