YEREVAN. – The Communist Party of Armenia (CPA) on Saturday held its traditional May 1 march in downtown Yerevan.

One of the participants was holding a banner that read: "We do not trust the government."

Acting first secretary of the CPA Central Committee, Yerjanik Ghazaryan, told reporters that all the positive aspects of the socialist system have been unequivocally shown in Armenia in the last 30 years, including after the velvet revolution in 2018, and it can bring Armenia out of the latter’s catastrophic situation.

Answering the question about the defeat in the recent Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war, he noted that the incumbent Armenian government's policy had led to the catastrophic consequences of this war.

He recalled that the CPA had several times demanded the resignation of acting PM Nikol Pashinyan.

Also, Ghazaryan noted that the Communist Party of Armenia was considering the matter of running in the snap parliamentary election—when its day is officially set.
