YEREVAN. – The hotels and restaurants whose staff will be vaccinated against the coronavirus will receive special state distinctive signs. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during Monday’s National Assembly special session to discuss the matter of electing a Prime Minister of Armenia.

He recalled that as of the second half of 2021, many countries may simply ban entry to people who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19. "Most likely, such decisions will be started to be brought to fruition in the middle of the year, as the vaccines will be more available by then, and all those who want to be vaccinated will be able to be vaccinated.

Armenia needs to vaccinate as many people as possible if it wishes to be appealing and safe for tourists. We have discussed the possibility of providing a distinctive sign that the [country’s] hotels, restaurants, and shops will be able to display if, say, more than 70 percent of their employees are vaccinated [against COVID-19]. For tourists and local residents, this will mean that it is relatively or completely safe to use their services," Pashinyan said.

Also, he once again urged people not to believe in the speculations on these vaccines.
