YEREVAN. – We must act beyond all propaganda because the moment is extremely accountable; we have clearly stated that the stabilization of the region is important for us. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at the beginning of Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the interim government of Armenia.

"There is a lot of talk about demarcation, delimitation of borders. And now they are trying to intimidate, terrorize the Armenian society with this fact. I want to say in all accountability that the Republic of Armenia needs the clarification of border as much as Azerbaijan needs it because the clarification, the registration of the borders—and at some stage the demarcation, delimitation—is the most important security guarantee," Pashinyan said.

He noted that the opening of communications in the region is one of the priorities of the government of Armenia, as the latter needs it as much as Azerbaijan. "Since 1992, a policy of blockade—that is, closure of communications—has been adopted towards Armenia. We must understand that the agenda of opening of communications is beneficial for Armenia. We have not discussed, we are not discussing, and we will not discuss the issue of corridor logic in the context of communications," he said.
