Armenia has been undergoing the process of demarcation with Georgia for a little less than 30 years. This is what acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said during today’s special parliamentary session.

“There is already agreed delimitation with regard to 60% of the border, and delimitation with regard to nearly 30% is in the works. Armenia needs to solve these issues. Our key objective is to lay the foundation for an era of peaceful development for our people. We need to take this path. However, we shouldn’t have illusions since it doesn’t only depend on us.

This means we need to engage in dialogue and open communication links. How can we pass through Azerbaijan’s territory and not let the Azerbaijanis pass through Armenia’s territory? We might not let each other pass through our respective territories, but this means we want to continue our policy of blockade. We need solutions,” he said.
