Yesterday when the foreign minister of Russia mentioned that a document has been placed into circulation, in response, Armenia declared that even though there is such a document, there is an important condition for consideration of the document, that is, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan must leave the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. This is what Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan said during today’s special session of the National Assembly.
“The Armenian government has worked as publicly as possible. We talked about this document yesterday and said there was such a document, but we haven’t launched discussions since it’s very important for the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan to leave the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. When this process was launched, we localized the issue to a certain extent and launched a major international process, as a result of which different countries agree that the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan must leave the territory of the Republic of Armenia,” Grigoryan said, adding that the government understand that there are certain circles that aren’t pleased with the successful diplomatic efforts and that their actions are aimed at posing a threat to the upcoming elections in Armenia.
Grigoryan added that if the issue isn’t solved diplomatically, Armenia will reserve itself the right to launch other mechanisms in order to solve the issue. He also called on the public to be a little patient so that the government can work and solve the problem.
