On May 21, officers of the General Department of the Criminal Police of Armenia used operative data, collaborated with other police units, officers of the preliminary investigation body and the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia in Armenia, and, according to the Police of Armenia, as a result of the collaboration, they found two foreigners at Garegin Nzhdeh Street in Yerevan and took them to the local police station. The two men, aged 29 and 31, were wanted by Georgia’s law-enforcement authorities since December 2019 for committing a murder in aggravating circumstances and are charged with illegally obtaining, selling, keeping, transferring or bearing a weapon (arrest is the pre-trial measure).
Armenia’s law-enforcement authorities have detained them and told the person who had initiated the search for the criminals that they have been found.
