YEREVAN. – We do not set before ourselves a goal to form any coalition with political forces. Arman Abovyan, secretary of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) faction at the National Assembly (NA), on Wednesday told this to reporters in the NA, in connection with the format of their running in the snap parliamentary elections on June 20.
According to him, this issue is not even discussed, whereas the information about the PAP’s intention to form a coalition with the Civil Contract Party (CCP) of acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is a lie. "We [PAP] are going [to the election] to win and form a government ourselves," Abovyan added.
And referring to the in-law relations between PAP chairman—and business tycoon MP—Gagik Tsarukyan and businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan—who will be on the proportional representation electoral list of CCP—, Arman Abovyan called not to try to bring personal relations to the political dimension.
