Armenia won’t sign a document on demarcation and delineation of its border so long as the Azerbaijani forces haven’t been pulled out of the country’s territory. This is what acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said in response to MPs’ questions in parliament today.

According to Pashinyan, it was initially assumed that the sides would temporarily settle along the length of the former Soviet border until final determination of the border.

“With the recent actions, Azerbaijan de facto led this process to failure. The future negotiations can only be held after the troops are pulled out of the territories of Syunik and Gegharkunik Provinces,” Pashinyan stressed.

Pashinyan said he didn’t think it was necessary to say who will deploy and when deployment is ‘planned’, when the agreement was reached and based on what written documents or verbal agreements.
