More than 50% of our pastures and hayfields are [now] under the control of the Turks [i.e., the Azerbaijanis], and 10 to 15% are dangerous for grazing animals. A resident of Kut village of Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province said this Thursday to acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is visiting this rural community.

"The Turks [i.e., the Azerbaijanis] have entered our lands, they have come from our pastures, intimidated our shepherd [saying] that, Get out of here!' The people of our village mainly live on cattle breeding; the village is in a very brutal condition," the resident told the acting premier.

Another resident wondered why the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces in the area, Rustam Muradov, was dealing with the issue of Armenian captives." Where are our leaders, that we trust Muradov?" he asked.

In response, Pashinyan stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Security Service of Armenia, he himself, and some other relevant bodies were dealing with the issue of these captives, and Muradov was acting as a mediator, as the powers of the peacekeepers include the matter of exchange of captives.
