  • Another incident took place between Armenian and Azerbaijani servicemen in Gegharkunik Province this morning, as a result of which two Armenian servicemen received slight bodily injuries.

The Armenian defense ministry also reported that no firearm was used during the incident and that the incident was resolved through the efforts of the superior command.

  • Azerbaijani authorities continue to ridicule all possible international documents on human rights.

According to Azerbaijani media, the criminal case of 14 more Armenian prisoners has been handed over to the Azerbaijani court.

The criminal case will be examined by the capital Baku Court on Grave Crimes.

The respective preliminary hearing of the court will take place in the coming days.

These Armenian captives have been charged with illegal border crossing and several other absurd charges.

  • Vicken Euljekjian, an Armenian from Lebanon, who was captured by Azerbaijani forces on November 10, 2020, near Shushi, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and is being held illegally by Azerbaijan was transferred to a hospital, Asbarez reported.

Representatives of the International Red Cross were permitted to visit Vicken in prison only in February 2021. 

In April, Vicken was allowed to phone his family for the first time in five months. He told them he was treated well, and that his paperwork was being dealt with for his release in three months.

Later, he was charged with the participation of a mercenary in a military conflict or military operation and terrorism committed by a group of persons, an organized group, or a criminal organization as well as illegal crossing of the state border of Azerbaijan.

  • Representatives of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia today held trilateral consultations in Moscow where they discussed de-escalation in certain sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, TASS reports, citing a few sources.

The sources also reported that the representatives reached an agreement to continue working contacts.

  • As of Thursday morning, 108 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in Armenia, and the total number of these cases has reached 222,978 in the country.

Also, three more deaths from COVID-19 were registered, making the respective total 4,448 cases.

The number of people who have recovered over the past one day is 235, the total respective number so far is 213,813.
