I declined Nikol Pashinyan’s invitation to a debate since I simply felt sorry for him. This is what candidate of the Armenian National Congress Party for Prime Minister of Armenia, first President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan told reporters today, adding that accepting the invitation could have led Pashinyan to commit suicide.
According to Ter-Petrosyan, Pashinyan himself talked about this in 2009 when he declared that Levon Ter-Petrosyan is always right in the end.
Earlier, Pashinyan had invited Levon Ter-Petrosyan and second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan to a debate, but both presidents declined the invitation.
