We’re preparing to keep the people calm, not carry out vendetta. This is what second President of Armenia, leader of the “Armenia” bloc Robert Kocharyan said during a meeting with residents of Jermuk.

“We say ‘no’ to vendettas and ‘yes’ to justice,” Kocharyan stressed, adding the following: “They say they will declare vendetta to the heads of villages who have been persecuted for two years. They have created a political ‘bludgeon’ for themselves. The people can’t work creatively, if they are split and there is hostility imposed by the authorities. We don’t need such a government. We need a government that will be tolerant and peaceful,” the ex-president said and stressed that his team intends to stop migration and solve the issues related to unemployment and border security.

Kocharyan also stressed that the relatives of at least 5,000 deceased soldiers and 10,000 wounded soldiers have the moral right to vendetta. “The war was artificially incited, and all efforts were made for defeat,” the ex-president recalled, adding that thousands of people who lost their homes also have that right, yet it is the “Armenia” bloc’s duty to disallow this.
