From the economic point of view, our relations with Iran in Syunik [Province] must be developed, and everything must be done so that hostilities do not start in Syunik. The head of the opposition "Armenia" Faction—and former defense minister—Seyran Ohanyan on Tuesday told this to reporters.

According to him, no one can say whether military operations will start, but everything must be done to prevent them.

"Iran has been a friendly country for Armenia for many centuries already. Tehran is under Western sanctions, and Armenia has maintained friendly relations with Iran for the past 30 years. Iran is one of the countries through which Armenia can enter the outside world," Ohanyan added.
