The OSCE Minsk Group is the format in which it will be possible to find a sustainable and peaceful solution. This is what President of Italy Sergio Mattarella said while making a joint statement with President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian in Rome today.

“We talked about finding a sustainable and long-term solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We obviously reaffirmed the fact that the Minsk Group is the format in which it will be possible to find a sustainable and peaceful solution,” he said, adding that he expresses his support to the relatives of those who have died throughout the conflict and those who died during the recent war.

“Italy encourages the two countries to find the right dialogue and contribute to the development of the region,” Mattarella emphasized.
