There are no changes at Paylasar (Mount Pela). The previous day, the commander of the border troops was here, and he answered questions. We have no change there. Deputy director of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, Aram Hakobyan, told this to reporters at the National Assembly Monday.

He added that the Goris-Kapan motorway is very safe.

"I came [from there] the day before, it is very safe. It is true that the representatives of the neighboring state [i.e., Azerbaijan] are standing there, but they don’t … the Armenian citizens at all," Hakobyan said.

And to the questions as to whether an explanation was given why the Russian troops had come down from Mount Pela), that the Armenian citizens were reporting that the Azerbaijanis on the aforementioned motorway were stopping, inspecting, and hitting their cars, Hakobyan simply responded: "I do not know, I do not have such information."

The reporters asked several other questions as well to the NSS deputy director, but they remained unanswered.
