  • The Azerbaijani side, accompanied by Russian peacekeepers, on Tuesday handed over to the Armenian side—and at the intersection of Karmir Shuka village of the Martuni region of Artsakh—the remains of 11 more Armenians who were killed during the third Artsakh war and were considered missing.

A total of 1,697 remains of Armenians—including of civilians—have been confirmed as a result of search operations and exchange of dead bodies ever since November 13, 2020.

  • Today at the government Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan hosted the President of the Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] Republic, Arayik Harutyunyan.

Pashinyan noted in his speech that the first anniversary of the 44-day war is coming to an end, and of course, this work has not stopped during this period either, but it is important to analyze the work they have done during this year and to assess the situation.

It is important to note that during this period the Artsakh government, together with the Armenian government, has succeeded in carrying out very concrete work to restore normal life in Artsakh.

  • The Office of the Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Armenia (RA) has prepared a special report on the need for a security zone in all areas of contact with Azerbaijan.

"Visits were made to all Armenian border settlements, continuous monitoring was carried out in Syunik and Gegharkunik [Provinces] for a year. The report showed—with facts—the dangers, brought objective evidence," Armenia’s ombudsman Arman Tatoyan told a press conference Wednesday.

Tatoyan noted that the Azerbaijani criminal terrorist acts were substantiated by facts.

He emphasized that in the absence of border demarcation and delimitation, no international criteria were accepted.

  • A tragic incident took place in Yerevan on Tuesday.

According to shamshyan.com, today at around 7 p.m. the operational management center of the Police of Armenia received a phone call telling the police that a citizen had jumped off the bridge in Davitashen district.

Police and investigators arrived at the scene of the incident and found the body of a teen under the bridge, particularly in an area that was impassable.

  • As of Wednesday morning, 2,045 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in Armenia, and the total number of these cases has reached 312,674 in the country.

Also, 50 more deaths from COVID-19 were registered, making the respective total 6,491 cases.
