Vardges Samsonyan has officially assumed the post of Mayor of Gyumri, Armenia.
The inauguration of the newly elected mayor took place Thursday at the sessions’ hall of the city hall.
Putting his hand the Holy Bible and the Constitution of Armenia, Samsonyan vowed to serve the prosperity of Gyumri.
The text of the mayor's oath will be kept at the city's history museum.
Also, newly elected mayor was handed the symbolic key of the city and the chain depicting the coat of arms of Gyumri.
