We are carrying out a new program for the Armenians of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and will provide assistance to different target groups in the amount of AMD 50,000 and AMD 25,000. This is what Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan told reporters in parliament today.

“At this moment, there is no need for large-scale hospitality for our compatriots from Artsakh. We are also carrying out two employment programs that are targeted at persons with disabilities and families with children, and all pensioners will each receive AMD 25,000,” he said, adding that most Armenians of Artsakh have returned to Artsakh.

“Artsakh is also implementing a housing program. The Government of Armenia will continue to solve the problem with housing so long as the housing issue hasn’t been ultimately solved in Artsakh. We also have a program to obtain apartments for the Armenians of Artsakh in Armenia and Artsakh. There are currently more than 100,000 Armenians living in Artsakh, and they will all be in a safe environment,” Mkrtchyan said.
