President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today received outgoing United Nations Resident Coordinator in Armenia Shombi Sharp.

As reported the Staff of the President of Armenia, President Sarkissian expressed gratitude to the UN Resident Coordinator for the development of cooperation between Armenia and UN agencies and the programs carried out in different sectors, wished him success and voiced hope that he would maintain ties with Armenia.

The UN Resident Coordinator considered the programs effective, adding that, in many cases, the practice in Armenia may be presented as an example in other countries. Sharp also expressed confidence that the strategic cooperation with Armenia within the scope of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2021-2025 will continue effectively.
