The process of delimitation and demarcation hasn’t progressed since Azerbaijan has delayed the process or hasn’t given a specific response. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said during today’s question-and-answer session with government officials in the National Assembly, responding to deputy of the “Civil Contract” faction Sargis Khandanyan’s question on what obstacles are hindering the launch of delimitation and demarcation.

“In May of this year, I declared that I am ready to sign the proposal that was on the table, that is, the proposal for the launch of delimitation and demarcation. In May and after that, the Russian Federation has made a proposal three times and has also presented the “disclosed document”, and, in essence, Armenia has given its consent to move forward three times. I get the impression that the process hasn’t progressed since Azerbaijan has delayed the process or hasn’t given a specific response. A peaceful solution to the situation on the border is extremely important, our previous proposals are in effect, including the proposals for the launch of delimitation and demarcation,” he stated.
