  • On Monday at around 6:10 p.m. the units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, using firearms of various calibers, opened fire at the Armenian military posts deployed on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, particularly in the Norabak village of Gegharkunik Province, as a result of which conscript, Private Suren Safaryan (born in 2002) received a lethal firearm injury.

As of 7:30 p.m. the exchange of fire has stopped.

Journalist Lindsey Snell posted on Twitter a video showing a mercenary complaining that leader of the Suleyman Shah terrorist brigade Abu Amshan deceived them. “We fought in Karabakh with the Turkish state. We lost people, we have wounded. We weren’t paid. We’re starving to death,” she stated.

  • Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held phone talks, BELTA reports.

Pashinyan and Lukashenko informed each other about the situation in Belarus and Armenia and discussed the problematic issues within the scope of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The Armenian premier also informed the Belarusian president about the current situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the possible paths for the development of the situation.

  • In Armenia, 531 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered per day.

The death toll has reached 7,356.

In total, on the morning of November 23, there were 334,878 people infected with coronavirus in the country.
