We have fulfilled the revenue part of the 2021 budget. Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, Rustam Badasyan, stated this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government, as he publicized the indicators, as of Thursday, for the revenues in this year's budget.

"First of all, let me mention that the revenue part of the budget had envisaged 1 trillion 440 billion drams. As of today, this number has been overfulfilled by 146 billion drams. Revenues are also expected today. The revenue part of the clarified budget was 1 trillion 581 billion drams. The return indicators are record [high] for this year. We have returned 182 billion drams to taxpayers, which is mainly along the lines of the VAT. Today we plan to return another 3 billion drams. This year we have collected 200.5 billion drams or 14.5% more than in 2020, we have collected 121.4 billion or 8.3% more than in 2019," added Badasyan.

In his turn, Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan said that at present Armenia has about 86% execution of capital expenditures. According to him, as revenues have increased this year, some of them were directed to paying off the country’s foreign debt and the expenditures that were to be made at the expense of foreign debt.
