At Monday's court hearing of the case on second President Robert Kocharyan’s lawsuit against PM Nikol Pashinyan and Armenia, Pashinyan's legal representative spoke against the video recording of the open court session.

The court case is being heard behind closed doors.

This civil lawsuit refers to the slanderous remarks made by Pashinyan during the rally in Yerevan's Republic Square on March 1 last year.

In April, Kocharyan's lawyer, Hayk Alumyan, had filed a lawsuit with a request to defend his client’s honor and dignity from public expressed slander and a compensation for non-pecuniary damage caused by this slander.

At the previous court session, Alumyan had submitted a motion for the recusal of the presiding judge, as the assignment of this court case to this judge was done in a non-computer manner. The court, however, had denied this motion.
