A group of drivers are holding a protest in front of the Central Bank of Armenia. They are protesting against the impending increase in auto insurance premiums in the country.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am had reported earlier, drivers had staged a similar protest Monday, too, at Republic Square in Yerevan. They had driven around the square while honking the horns of their vehicles. But the police had stopped them, apprehended some of these drivers, and had their vehicles towed away.
The aforesaid increase in car insurance fees will take effect in Armenia as of February 7.
