The National Assembly of Armenia has convened a special session Wednesday.

There are two matters on the agenda: The bill on making an addendum to the law on reduction and prevention of damage to health as a result of the use of tobacco products and their substitutes; and the bill on ratification of the letter-agreement between Armenia and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the use of reserve program funds.

The draft law on tobacco defines what are considered tobacco substitutes. And with the second draft, Armenia can receive a $315-million loan from the IMF in two phases.
