The reaction of the West to Russia's actions in Ukraine shows that there is a battle going on for Russia's right to be on the political map of the world with full respect for its legitimate interests, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov following talks with the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Turkey, Dmitry Kuleba and Mevlut Cavusoglu.

“We realized that this is not about Ukraine at all, it is about aggression against everything Russian — interests, religion, culture, language, security, and so on. And now, of course, the reaction of the West to our actions is so completely frenzied, I would say, forgive me for the rude word, it shows that, indeed, this is a life-and-death battle for Russia's right to be on the political map of the world with full respect for their legitimate interests,” Lavrov said.

Lavrov also said that Russia did not attack Ukraine and does not plan to attack other countries.
