Sanctions will have a negative impact on tax revenues, as our trade is mainly linked to Russia. In addition, we have good ties with Ukraine. State Revenue Committee chairman Rustam Badasyan told reporters this on Wednesday—and with respect to the impact on Armenia of the international sanctions being imposed on Russia because of its current military operations in Ukraine.

Badasyan explained that due to the fluctuations of the Russian ruble exchange rate, the good export indicators that were recorded in January and February from Armenia will now drop.

"In January-February, the main indicators [i.e., tax revenues, number of steady jobs, and average salary] record an increase. At the moment, the concern is not so great," Badasyan added.
