Within the framework of his working visit to Gyumri, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia got acquainted also with the renovation and furnishing works carried out and still ongoing at the Gyumri Care Center for the Elderly.

The PM toured the center and talked to the elderly people living here.

Those in charge informed that according to the memorandum of cooperation signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia and the Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS) in December 2019, after the dissolution of the Gyumri Nursing Home, the care of its residents is now provided by the ARCS. And at the heart of this memorandum is the improvement of the quality of living of the elderly and disabled persons of the nursing home.

Also, the premier was informed that the ARCS has committed to renovate and furnish three of the five buildings of the Gyumri Care Center for the Elderly by the end of 2022.
