I would like to thank Russian President Vladimir Putin for the warm reception, and note the effectiveness of my official visit to Russia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Friday’s Cabinet meeting of the government of Armenia.

"During the meetings [in Moscow], the most key issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed, which is expressed in the joint statement of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the President of the Russian Federation. Naturally, we paid special attention to issues related to regional stability and security. We reached important agreements on the matter of the principles of opening regional communications—noting the similarity of the approaches of Armenia and Russia.

We can state the common ground of all our international partners in this issue. And against this background, I want to reaffirm Armenia's readiness to start—as soon as possible—the construction of railways and motorways connecting the East to the West—through the territory of Armenia.

I hope that the trilateral working group—chaired by the deputy prime ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan—dealing with this issue will soon be able to develop and agree on documents to launch the process," said the Armenian PM.
