The opposition "Armenia" and "With Honor" Factions of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia on Friday have called a special NA session, the agenda of which is the draft of the NA statement on Armenian-Azerbaijani and Armenian-Turkish relations.

Artur Hovhannisyan, secretary of the ruling majority "Civil Contract" Faction in the NA, had stated back on May 27 that their faction will not attend this special sitting, which means that it not be convened due to the lack of a quorum

Registration was announced at this NA special session Friday, but only 33 MPs were in attendance.

Subsequently, NA speaker Alen Simonyan announced: "According to Section 4 of Article 51 of the NA Rules of Procedure Law, the registration continues until the registration of the necessary [quorum] number of MPs—but not [for] more than four hours."
