The arrests were carried out brutally with the use of force. Some citizens were even beaten. Many people felt bad. One officer of law enforcement was among them.
The situation escalated after Ishkhan Saghatelyan, deputy speaker of the parliament from the opposition, called on the police to unblock the road leading to the National Assembly building. After that, a scuffle broke out between the protesters and law enforcers.
