The Resistance Movement began to march from France Square in Yerevan.
The participants of the procession are heading to the building of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia. They believe that criminal cases should be initiated over the violence used by the police against the citizens on 3 June near the government summer houses, and the guilty policemen should be charged.
Before the procession started, a rally was held on France Square in Yerevan, during which YSU professor, member of the "Unity" initiative Menua Soghomonyan, former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, deputy from the "I Have Honor" bloc Hayk Mamijanyan, deputy from the "Armenia" bloc Aram Vardevanyan and others spoke.
On 3 June the parliamentary majority represented by the ruling power "Civil Contract" failed the sitting of the National Assembly, convened by the initiative of the opposition to discuss the draft of a statement in support of Artsakh and the statehood of Armenia.
The resistance movement blocked the government building for several hours because it was from there that the parliament was ruled. Then, since Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan left the government building, the protesters went to Pashinyan's residence.
It became known that some government deputies were still in the parliament building and were posting photos from there with captions such as "we're here, why aren't you coming". In response, members of the Resistance Movement decided to go to the parliament, the police for some reason decided to forbid the demonstrators to go down Demirchyan Street, and even used stun grenades. According to eyewitnesses, the first grenades hit the first rows of police officers, with what the large number of injured police officers is connected. The demonstrators headed toward the parliament building along Proshyan Street and then along Baghramyan Avenue.
As a result, 60 people were taken to hospital.
