At Friday’s Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia called to return to the single methodology for distribution of customs duties between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

He emphasized that significant deviations in the distribution of customs duties have been observed in recent months, and due to the change in the structure of the external trade of the EEU.

"We consider it necessary to return as soon as possible to the single methodology for the distribution of departments," he said.

As for the creation of a single natural gas market in the EEU, according to him, Armenia is ready for a constructive dialogue in this sense in order to reach a consensus on unsettled matters.

"From the point of view of having a full market of goods and services, we consider integration in the fields of transport and infrastructure to be important. With the right approach to transport and logistics systems, the branch can become one of the main drivers of the development of the EEU and a concrete advantage of the union, creating favorable organizational and economic conditions for transit transportation," added the Armenian premier.
